It is true invocation of the Spirit is not a day's work nor is it to be had by one and all for the mere asking. It is equally true that the Spirit ANSWERS as soon as called and a recalcitrant disease that long evaded cure shows signs of definite cure on the very first day of calling. A more valid truth with the Spirit is it responds fully to a person who is a non-entity in anyone's eyes. There are two sides, not of Spirit, but of the human mind-set. If you are on the right side, I wish to speak greater and sweeter truths of the Spirit in Life and Mind. Though my remarks will sound general, they are capable of particular application. One Truth behind that phenomenon is the Spirit aspires to be a constant companion to us and reminds us of its existence when we forget It.
Our invocation is tardy when we are lost in our thoughts or identified with the intensities of Life. As we are sincere to the Spirit, the responses start coming off and on. It gives us hope to work more intensely with the result there are prolonged periods where the responses are non-stop. It is a moment of spiritual elevation. At those moments, one feels suffused in a soft atmosphere of Peace - spiritual peace, or one is filled with a weighty, rich fullness inside. Occasionally they are simultaneous.
He who sees such moments has fully succeeded in the invocation, though it is all on the surface. At times when he forgets to consecrate, the Spirit will be found to remind him to do so. It is the consummation in this exercise of invocation. There are times when one feels that the world - one's own world - has not problems whatsoever and one wonders what has happened to the myriad of headaches that plagued him so far.
