• The planes of the Mind, Vital and Matter were created without ignorance or ego.
• Ananda belongs to every plane by its original structure.

In the chapter on Matter in Life Divine, Sri Aurobindo explains the formation of ego. Mind creates a division of the one being and existence into apparently separate beings and objects. The identification of the will to be in the form with the separative viewpoint of mind in an individual being represents the formation of mental ego.

• This is a link which appears to be a gap to the observation that is not subtle.
• In commenting on Darwin's theory of evolution, Sri Aurobindo speaks of this gap where there is a leap. Until this link is forged, the Theory will remain unexplained.

A man makes his psychological growth by his volition or by his circumstances.  In either case, life has a reward in time.  No growth is left unrecognised by life. When Bingley visited a second time to Netherfield, Mrs. Bennet wanted her husband to go and invite him. The first time he did like a good husband, this time he asserted and felt it was improper for him to go after Bingley. This time Bingley proposed.

To mortal, limited beings living in ephemeral, physical bodies in a transient, material world of visible and tangible finite forms, the existence of an invisible, insubstantial, infinite, eternal, omniscient, omnipotent, universal and transcendent Divine is a wonder of wonders beyond conception. But Sri Aurobindo says the greatest mystery in not the existence of God. A still greater wonder is how an insubstantial Infinite and Eternal Spirit could create the finite, temporal material universe we live in.

• There are rare men dedicated to the Divine and there are rare moments in their life when they are moving to a critical decision.
• One is lucky if he comes to a decision to do his very best, even if it is far distant from the best that is required by the circumstances.
