Peaceful Domestic Happiness

  • Normally, this phrase is meant to describe a stagnant life of indolent comfort.
  • The landed gentry was often endowed with great wealth in the subsequent generations which enabled them to enjoy without any exertion. As this was accompanied by great prestige and  status, it was looked upon as the one desirable thing.
  • The facts are twofold. It is true that inheritance conferred on the heir a great boon.

Perception, Conception, Sensation

  • It is conception first and perception next, but as most of us have the subtle perception in life, my title has inverted the order.
  • We can use a book like The Life Divine in innumerable ways. Here is one.
  • Conception is two-fold. One is the intellectual conception which is like geographical knowledge entirely devoid of fullness or feeling or any other semblance of reality. The other is a higher conception which belongs to the pure mind divorced from sense impressions. In reading a story full of emotions we feel a certain reality which is emotional reality.

Personality of Inanimate Objects

  • Personality is a product of nature, says Sri Aurobindo.
  • As manners belong to the surface and are mainly social, behaviour is still of the surface of man's psychological consciousness.
  • Behaviour is the truth of manners, if they have any.
  • Character is of the very substance of the individual where the individual's consciousness is organised as inflexible character.
  • Nature from which character, behaviour and manners issue is a wider force of man which is not exhausted by the formation of character.
  • Nature gives the human ene

Physical, Mental, Spiritual Organisations

  • Organisations are the bringing together of activities so that in their coordinated action, they would produce a greater result.
  • Man acts individually and society acts collectively.

Practical Concept of Infinity

Infinity of space and eternity of Time are two related concepts. As all life is covered by Space and Time, Infinity cannot stretch beyond.

'Complete minus complete is equal to complete' is the formula the Upanishads offer about Infinity. As Time is a concept for the metaphysician, Infinity is not a known concept in life. It is there in mathematics and metaphysics.

Principle and Practice of Surrender as a Method

  • The best of methods is that which gets the maximum by the minimum effort.
  • To secure all by refusing to do anything is the method called surrender.
  • If this is so what is the principle that expresses here and what power expresses out of it?
  • The principle is the principle of Brahman that is all without being anything.
  • The power of that principle is a movement which is a total movement.
  • A total movement will have total power.

Principles of Expansion and Achievement

  • Presently our focus is on Marketing as it yields immediate results.
  • Work done anywhere - marketing, administration, production, reception, stores, organisation, people, machine, values and so on - is as much money as work done in marketing. Jewels, clothes, grains, articles like TV, flask and so on are all money, not only currency. Any work is money, any movement is money.

Process of Creation 2

It is by self-absorption that Light has become darkness which means light, which is a form, gives itself another form of darkness. It is the light conceiving itself to acquire the form of darkness. Self-absorption is at the basis of Self-conception. As light is a form and darkness is a form and forms are created by limiting the limitless, light converting itself into darkness occurs by the process of self-limitation.
