Management, the Essence of Government
Government is the organised centre of ordering power into administration. The power is won by the army, the administration is of the life of the society. The government converts the absolute power into activities of the all. The nucleus of the government is the family. Management of the modern commercial corporation has outgrown the family in size and essence but can never hope to wield the power of the government. Exercise of power over the public who are governed by the laws of the government and the urges of the wider society has rendered management the essence of exercising power. That appears to be the significance of the world government. We see the company can draw upon social power through the market to an extent that the government can be at its disposal. Presently such developments belong to subconscious chance. A Science of Management makes it conscious. We know the conscious finite as Rosa Parks can move the entire unconscious infinite. Slavery was abolished by law by a government that fought against it successfully. Still it was abolished in law, not in fact. Rosa Parks, after a hundred years, awakened the unconscious public. Therefore it sounds as if a long time gap is needed between the two stages of winning the war and winning the consent of the population. Maybe it is true if we are to win the global elite to rationality. For the establishment of the government, a physical Act of organisation, a mastery of the essence of the principles is enough. What do we mean by this Mastery? To be able to see the small significant acts in a company that can crash the whole world market on it as the iPod did is one aspect. Slovenia is part of the EU under severe financial crisis. One can know in a company the financial strategies that can compel EU to resort to wider reform. FDR did it with the common people. Famine that threatened one country made the whole world receive the hope of production in plenty. One is a technology in the product, the other is a human attitude and the last is a principle of Life. A company is a repository of principles, strategies, technologies. Especially we know the psychological technology of people or better still, products can act comprehensively and instantaneously. For the knowledge of life, setting up a government, even when it is a shadow government, is child’s play. A far wider knowledge of Existence applied to the cause of one country’s independence unleashed the energies enough to liberate 45 colonies. One who studies any company in this comprehensive light can FEEL the presence of the Living Organisation emerging. The Mastery I speak of has two ends, low and high. Also it can be seen as mastery of details – efficiency – and mastery of principles that are of essence. The latter is fundamental and profound. The former is impressive individually to the practical mind. In such a study one will be amazed at the infinite dimensions of each part when it is seen as an aspect. In the world, water is a major concern. No one can tell them about the power of attention. But in working in a company, if the consultant observes the behaviour of water, he will see it responds not only to attention, but every aspect. Such a response is amoral when it copiously rewards the culprit as in the village of Ashram labourers. To raise a company from Merecie to Apple or Google, this knowledge will accomplish it in the minimum physical Time. Maybe it is the case of Amazon and Google and the trillions that circle the world. It issues out of Self-giving to an inanimate product or a lifeless company. I do not have the privilege of sharing my views of education with understanding. At the age of 20 the modern child can excel the old man of 80 in terms of learning. Snow came to the Sahara, Auroville stops war. The principle is the same everywhere.
Working in a company, it is easy to miss the relations between the individual parts. When we observe, we observe one aspect only, but the fact is ALL the parts and aspects are fully related to all the parts and aspects as well as to the whole. Darwin whose success was more than total could miss the link in consciousness. Till today it is not made good. Our own understanding of the principles and practices must be complete as well as consummate. In a transaction of 65,000/- the role of ½ a rupee can decide the outcome of the project.
